Information for Employers

ReOpen Brenham-Washington County Partnership

Businesses reopening to the public are encouraged to participate in the ReOpen Brenham-Washington County Partnership. Businesses agree to the guidelines below.

Businesses are encouraged to stop by the Visitor's Center (in the Barnhill Center/Simon Theater complex) to pick up a laminated copy of a 'Welcome Back' sign to post at your entrances showing that you are a ReOpen Partner and the protocols you are following to protect your customers and employees. A dry erase marker can be used to mark current occupancy limits for your business, allowing you to update the number as the Governor's guidelines permit. A download is provided below if you prefer to print the sign. As a reminder normal retail business occupancy in City of Brenham is 1 per 60sf.

COVID-19 Required Posting

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) requires certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. Follow the link below the posters to review guidelines for securing tax credits equivalent to the wages mandated for leave by FFCRA.
