In November of 2024, the Brenham Community Development Corporation (BCDC) authorized the selection of Marketing Alliance, Inc. with the objective of recommending targeted industries appropriate for economic development to both the City of Brenham and Washington County.
The process began in January of this year, and after countless interviews with community stakeholders, a review of indicators relative to community assets and overall research and analysis of what’s leading the State of Texas and United States, Marketing Alliance, Inc. has provided a Three-Year Economic Development Strategic Plan.
This plan takes into account the momentum of growth that we are experiencing but also has an eye toward the future. Although Washington County excels in terms of certain industries, like food manufacturing, a look at tomorrow’s workforce needs allows us to remain competitive.
Along with the plan is an outline of recommended priorities and activities, some of which we are already doing.
Our future is bright and it’s my pleasure to present this plan to the community.
