The Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) of Texas A&M University is offering Washington County manufacturing businesses a no-cost energy and waste cost reduction, and productivity enhancement study. The IAC can assist manufacturing plants by supplying a formal, technical report with cost saving and productivity enhancing projects recommended for implementation. Four to five engineering students at Texas A&M University under the direction of Dr. Bryan Rasmussen, James Eggebrecht, or Heather Lewis will perform the analysis. The TAMU IAC team, spends one-day at a site to analyze the plant operations and determines the appropriate methods to reduce costs. The team gathers the data to determine the cost savings and implementation methods and returns to campus to prepare a formal bound report. This report is sent to the plant within 60 days, complete with the savings, implementation costs, and economic simple payback for each recommendation.
